In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

En l' an trois de Cyrus, roi de Perse, une parole fut révélée à Daniel, surnommé Baltassar : parole sûre; haute lutte. Il pénétra la parole, l' intelligence lui en fut donnée en vision.

His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.

And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.

Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.

Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.

J' entendis le son de ses paroles, et au son de ses paroles je défaillis et tombai face contre terre.

And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

Il me dit : "Daniel, homme des prédilections, comprends les paroles que je vais te dire; lève-toi; me voici, envoyé à toi." Il dit ces mots et je me relevai en tremblant.

Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

Il me dit : "Ne crains point, Daniel, car du premier jour où, pour comprendre, tu as résolu de te mortifier devant ton Dieu, tes paroles ont été entendues, et c' est à cause de tes paroles que je suis venu.

But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Le Prince du royaume de Perse m' a résisté pendant 21 jours, mais Michel, l' un des Premiers Princes, est venu à mon aide. Je l' ai laissé affrontant les rois de Perse,

Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.

And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.

et voici : une semblance de fils d' homme me toucha les lèvres. J' ouvris la bouche pour parler, et je dis à celui qui se tenait devant moi : "Mon Seigneur, à cette apparition, l' angoisse revient sur moi et je n' ai plus de forces.

For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me.

Fa aiza no ahazoan' ity izaho mpanompon' ny tompoko ity hiteny aminao tompoko? Ary tamin' izay dia tsy nisy hery nitoetra tato amiko intsony, na nisy aina sisa tato amiko.

Hataon' ity mpanompon' ny tompoko ity ahoana moa, no fiteny amin' ny tompoko eo. Amin' izao sady tsy manan-kery aho, no tsy nisy aina intsony akory koa.

Et comment le serviteur de mon Seigneur que voici, pourra-t-il parler avec mon Seigneur, alors que déjà il n' est plus de force en moi et que le souffle m' abandonne?"

Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,

Ary nisy indray nanana endrik' olona nanendry ahy koa, dia nampahery ahy

Fa ilay nitarehin-janak' olombelona indray no nanendry ahy sy nankahery ahy. Dia hoy izy tamiko:

De nouveau l' apparence humaine me toucha et me réconforta.

And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.

ka nanao hoe: Aza matahotra, ry ilay malala indrindra; fiadanana anie ho anao, mahereza, eny, mahereza. Ary rehefa niteny tamiko izy, dia nihahery aho ka nanao hoe: Aoka hiteny ianao tompoko, satria efa nampahery ahy.

Aza matahotra, ry olo-malalan' Andriamanitra; ho aminao anie ny fiadanana! Matokia, matokia! Mbola niteny tamiko teo izy, dia efa nahazo hery aho, ka nanao hoe: Aoka hiteny amin' izao ny tompoko, fa efa nankahery ahy hianao.

Il dit : "Ne crains point, homme des prédilections; paix à toi, prends force et courage!" Et tandis qu' il me parlait, je me sentais fortifié et je dis : "Que mon Seigneur parle, car tu m' as réconforté."

Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.

Dia hoy izy: Moa fantatrao va ny nihaviako atý aminao? Ankehitriny dia hiverina hiady amin' ny andrianan' i Persia aho, ary rehefa mivoaka aho, dia, indro, ho avy ny andrianan' i Grisia.

Hoy izy tamiko: Fantatrao va ny nahatongavako atý aminao? Ankehitriny hiverina hiady amin' ny filohan' i Persa aho, ary amin' ny fotoana handehanako, dia indro ho avy ny filohan' i Javana.

Alors il dit : "Sais-tu pourquoi je suis venu à toi? Je dois retourner combattre le Prince de Perse : quand j' en aurai fini, voici que viendra le Prince de Yavân.

But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

Fa hambarako aminao izay voasoratra ao amin' ny soratra marina; nefa tsy misy miara-misikina amiko hanohitra ireo, afa-tsy Mikaela andriananareo.
